As an institutional member of the International Bar Association (“IBA”), the Law Society delegation, including Vice-President Amirali Nasir and two young members Jacob Yau and Keida Wong, attended the IBA Annual Conference 2024 in Mexico City, Mexico, from 15 to 20 September. This year’s Conference gathered over 5,000 lawyers from more than 130 jurisdictions, and over 2,700 law firms, corporations and government regulators.

On this occasion, the delegation was delighted to meet with President of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association, to discuss the impacts of artificial intelligence on future generations of lawyers worldwide. They also met with Vice President of the IBA, where they reaffirmed their commitment to engaging with the IBA and fostering closer cooperation in future legal developments.

The delegation stayed active in meetings, networking sessions, and receptions during the Conference.
