The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

On 29 July 2024, Mr Amirali Nasir, Vice-President and Chair of International Legal Affairs Committee; and Ms Hin Han Shum, Council Member and Chair of Young Solicitors’ Group, hosted a meeting with the Korean Ministry of Justice (“KMoJ”) to discuss cross-border exchange opportunities to foster the learning and development of junior lawyers.
During the meeting, the KMoJ shared their opinions on nurturing of young legal talents, and anticipated to explore opportunities for organising more meaningful activities with the Law Society.
Having collaborated with the KMoJ on a series of Korean Internship Programmes since 2014, the Law Society has forged a close tie with the Korean counterparts.
