The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

The Law Society always makes good use of each opportunity to introduce to the international community the advantages and strengths of Hong Kong’s common law system, as well as its legal and dispute resolution services. During the meetings, apart from introduction of Hong Kong’s robust legal system and services by the Law Society, the parties also exchanged views on the latest legal developments in Hong Kong, such as the legislation of Article 23 of the Basic Law.
