The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

On 3 September, the Law Society welcomed representatives of Mainland Justice Bureaux, Department from Beijing, Chongqing, Qingdao, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Zhejiang, as well as representatives from the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council and Macao Legal Affairs Bureau. Council member and Vice-Chairman of Greater China Legal Affairs Committee (“GCLAC”) Neville Cheng and Council member and Vice-Chairlady of the GCLAC Heidi Chui received the delegation.
