The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

The Straits Law Forum (“Forum”) was held in Fuzhou city of Fujian Province under the theme “Legal Protection for Cross Strait High-Quality Development” on 18 August. The Law Society was one of the organisers of the Forum this year.
Member of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee Stanley Chan attended the Forum and submitted his paper under the theme of “Discussion on Partnership System and Associated Law Firms - Shared by A Hong Kong Lawyer”.
Mr Stanley Chan shared his in-depth insights on partnership system of law firms and provided suggestions on improving the current system.
