On 10 May 2024, Council member and Vice-Chairman of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee (“GCLAC”) Neville Cheng attended a seminar on High-Quality Development Legal Services in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (“Seminar”) in Shanwei, Guangdong. The Seminar aimed at promoting the high-quality development of legal services in the Guangdong-Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area and deepening high-level mutually beneficial cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

At the Seminar, Mr Neville Cheng delivered a keynote speech under the theme “Construction of Legal Service Platform for Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area", and explained how Hong Kong can leverage its role as a leading centre for international legal and dispute resolution services in the Asia-Pacific region to contribute to the legal development of Greater Bay Area.
