The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

Council member Ronald Sum as well as the Vice-Chairman of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee (“GCLAC”) James Wong attended the Inauguration Ceremony of Shanghai International Arbitration (Hong Kong) Center (“SHIAC Hong Kong”) on 5 May 2024. SHIAC Hong Kong is the first branch established by SHIAC outside the Mainland. Commercial entities and individuals from 85 countries and regions around the world have participated in SHIAC’s proceedings.
