The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

On 4 May 2024, Jiangsu Lawyers Association held “Jiangsu Province Foreign related Legal Services Promotional Event” (“Promotional Event”) in Hong Kong. Then-President C. M. Chan led 20 Law Society representatives to join the Promotional Event. The delegation included members of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee (“GCLAC”), the Greater China Legal Affairs Young Solicitors Sub-Committee, the GBA Lawyers Sub-Committee and the Greater China Interest Group. The two professional organisations signed a second cooperation agreement at the Promotional Event, where both parties agreed to work more closely for the benefits of their members.
Separately, a meeting with Jiangsu Lawyers Association was held on 6 May 2024 for a more in-depth discussion on future collaborations. Then-Vice-President and Chairman of the GCLAC Roden Tong, Council member and GCLAC Vice Chairman Neville Cheng, Council member and GCLAC Vice-Chairlady Heidi Chui as well as GCLAC Vice-Chairman James Wong received a delegation of 16 representatives from Jiangsu Lawyers Association.
Then-President C. M. Chan delivered a speech at the event, emphasising the role of the Hong Kong legal profession in the economic development of Jiangsu Province.
