Then President C. M. Chan led a delegation of more than 50 Law Society members to Guangzhou on 22 March 2024 for “GBA Express” legal exchange event (Guangzhou station).

The delegates included then Vice-President and Chairman of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee (“GCLAC”) Roden Tong, Vice-President Christopher Yu, Council member and GCLAC Vice-Chairman Neville Cheng, Council member and GCLAC Vice-Chairlady Heidi Chui, Council member and Chairlady of Greater Bay Area Lawyers Sub-Committee Careen Wong, as well as GCLAC Vice-Chairman James Wong.

In the morning, the delegation visited Guangzhou Arbitration Commission to learn about the latest overview of local arbitration and the organisation's work in resolving civil and commercial disputes. Then, the delegation visited Guangzhou Internet Court to learn about the court’s work in handling internet cases.

In the afternoon, more than one hundred lawyers from Guangzhou and Hong Kong participated in the "GBA Express" Legal Forum co-organised by the Law Society and Guangzhou Lawyers Association. Speakers from Hong Kong and the Mainland were invited to share on various practical topics. The speakers of the Law Society included GCLAC members Hui Sui Hang, Daniel Leung and William Ling.
