The Law Society of Hong Kong is a professional association for solicitors in Hong Kong vested with statutory powers to regulate the professional conduct of solicitors, trainee solicitors and foreign lawyers. It was incorporated in 1907 as a company limited by guarantee.

Co-organised by the Law Society, Yunnan Lawyers Association, Sichuan Lawyers Association, Chongqing Lawyers Association, Guizhou Provincial Lawyers Association and Guangxi Lawyers Association, the South Asia - Southeast Asia Investment and Trade Compliance Management and Legal Risk Prevention Forum (“Forum”) was successfully held in a hybrid format in Kunming under the title “Across Oceans and Mountains; A Protection for You: Retrospect and Prospect of Cross-border Legal Services in South Asia and Southeast Asia” on 1 December 2023.
Member of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee Daniel Leung delivered a speech under the title “Review and Prospects of Cross Border Legal Services in South Asia and Southeast Asia” in the format of a pre-recorded video.
About 200 guests and representatives from government departments, universities, lawyers’ associations, arbitration and mediation organisations, as well as enterprises participated in the event.
